Safety and Health Updates

Occupational Safety and Health Education and Events

It is a Weather Alert Weekend! Reminder to check on aging relatives and neighbors. Watch exposure on young ones and all four legged friends.

For immediate safety risks, such as natural gas leaks or damaged equipment, CALL 911.

Gas Emergencies (All Areas): Leave the area immediately and call 911.

Safety Tips from Ameren:

Downed Lines: Assume all downed power lines are energized and dangerous. Stay at least 30 feet away and report them immediately.
Gas Leak: If you smell sulfur or rotten eggs, leave the building immediately without using lights, phones, or appliances.

Going for a Drive

Driver Improvement 8-Hour Course

The National Safety Council’s eight (8) hour Defensive Driving Class (also known as Driver Improvement Program DIP) is approved throughout the United States for driving record point reduction. Taught by National Safety Council certified instructors, it is designed to improve the student’s defensive driving skills. DDC-8 is an intensive learning experience that requires active student participation. This classroom-based course focuses on improving both attitudes and behaviors behind the wheel.

Substance Awareness Traffic Offenders Program (SATOP)

SATOP is a two-step process

1) Complete an evaluation

2) Attend the assigned Class or Treatment Program
