History

The Council has been promoting safety to the community since 1916. It has undergone many changes and improvements during the last 100 years. The Safety Council of Greater St. Louis is committed to making Metropolitan St. Louis a safer place in which to live, work, and play. Our goal is accomplished through the active participation of our members and the community in a variety of safety-related educational programs and activities. These programs are financed by program fees, memberships, and contributions.
