CLASSES AND TRAINING

Categories --> Community Education Programs

The Safety Council of Greater St. Louis offers safety information for corporate and community events at no charge.  Staff may be available depending on the size of the activity and is also a benefit of membership in the Council.

SafeLife Kids®

SafeLife® Kids is a twelve module, volunteer and academically based program for fourth through sixth grade children which teach, in a fun and interactive way, safety education.  SafeLife® Kids covers an array of subjects ranging from decision making skills, dog bites, helmets, car seats and Internet safety.  This program is offered to the community at no charge.

SafeLife Seniors® and SafeLife Tots®

Two new SafeLife® programs now available for the community to utilize.

Safetyville

Safetyville is an interactive pedestrian and traffic safety program for children from three to six years of age.  This program is offered to the community at no charge to the community for very large events.

Stay Out, Stay Alive
This elementary and middle school aged program sponsored by the Department of Labor, Mining Safety and Health Administration, MSHA, educates youth on the dangers of entering active, and especially abandoned mining areas.

Teen Suicide Prevention
"Battle Plan for Action®" is a parent directed educational program, instructing those attending in the warning signs and possible interventions for teen suicide prevention.  "Battle Plan" is ideal for adult group enrichment such as PTO's, PTA's, and employee enrichment and assistance programs.  A small fee is charged to cover costs.

Emergency Care
The following are courses offered by the Safety Council of Greater St. Louis that offer training in emergency care.  Courses for the public, for instructors, and for professional first responders.  Information for existing and prospective training centers and instructors is available as well as online training, related textbooks and products.  Some information can be accessed here at our website or by contacting our office at 314-621-9200.
